Nigiri floor lamp is inspired by the traditional outdoor lantern which usually is made of stone and can be found in temples or traditional Asian gardens. In order to re-introduce its beauty into the contemporary living, we simplify the outline by using new materials for example metal to lighten it visually and recreate the timeless object.

KIMUโs most renowned product, the New Old Light.
We still remembered during our first exhibition in Paris, an old French gentleman stayed in front of the New Old Light for quite a while and kept saying โle petit prince.โ He told us the New Old Light reminded him of the planets in the book Le Petit Prince, which floated elegantly.
