KIMU Design interprets two cultural differences, the introversion of the East and the extroversion of the West through their design, having them coexist in perfect harmony by combining “fan” and “divider” in the New Old Divider. When the fan is folded, it creates a minimal, virtual space but still functions as its name suggests while the presence is as invisible as a picture frame. On the contrary, it becomes a classic oriental divider, adding splendid charms to the space when the fan is fully released.
In the process of turning “fan” into “divider,” the New Old Divider wanders around minimal and decorative aesthetics, offering the space with new possibilities just at owners’ fingertips.
